Dear Dancing Pigs fans and
friends,
This "month's" Newsletter is a little late, since the last one was in
March, but you know how Pigs are. If you're interested, we've added
previous newsletters to the signup page at http://www.cincinnatidancingpigs.com/newsletter.html
Upcoming gigs of ours include these fine yearly occurring events:
1. Rivertown Breakdown at Southgate
House in
Jake Speed, of "Jake Speed and The Freddies"
and a friend of The Pigs, graciously puts on this benefit show for the Ohio
River "River Sweep". Not only is it for a worthy cause, but
there are lots of great local musicians playing there, including: Karen Bergquist and Linford Detweiler (of "Over The Rhine"), Katie Lauer, The
Stardevils (a great Rockabilly group), Lagniappe
(Cajun), Ricky Nye (boogie-woogie piano), The Comet Bluegrass All-Stars, and
The Sidecars, among others. Information about this musical benefit is at http://www.rivertownbreakdown.com/index.php.
The publicity picture attached to this newsletter, which shows members of 5
groups playing at Southgate House this weekend, has Pig Keith Baker in it,
proving once again the old adage, "Nothing says Jug Band like a
washboard?" (right Eric?)
2. The Queen City Balladeers Edensong

Most of these John Denver and
- We hope to have more frequent new pictures on our website, including pictures
of a new monthly drawing by Kristen Pattison on the board outside of
